The people who guarantee top 10 rankings are more than likely referring to very long-tail phrases that won’t yield any significant traffic

This is by far one of the better posts I've read in a while, its a very compelling article with a lot of well written content. Need to find more sites like this, thanks for the info by the way. The backlink aspect of the web is a huge part of making your site strong.

Good page content is most recommended for websites, but back links can certainly help your rankings

I finally got this one straightened out, everyone is going on about speed being one of the factors, now I know it's not.

Don't get me wrong, I want my visitors to have a pleasant stay on my site/blog, they don't need to wait until the page loads, but giving up on nice design because Google said so is crazy :)

Nobody can guarantee it, so be careful for scams. The people who guarantee top 10 rankings are more than likely referring to very long-tail phrases that won’t yield any significant traffic for your website.

Interesting - I've thought that the nofollow and page sculpting issue was one that has clouded SEO for asome time now and something that i have never actively done. Why block relevant web pages?
